To deepen international cooperation in business education, explore paths for inter-university collaborative development, build a high-quality transnational exchange platform, and promote the complementary advantages of education and scientific research, a delegation from Durham University Business School (UK) was invited to visit CUFE Business School on November 25, 2025.
Professor Sarah Xiao, Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at Durham University Business School, and Professor Xinming He, International Coordinator, attended the exchange as representatives. Attaching great importance to this exchange, CUFE Business School arranged the attendance of Professor Lin Song, Dean, Professor Gu Leilei, Vice Dean, and Ms. Guo Xiaokun, Director of the International Cooperation Office. They held in-depth and pragmatic communications and discussions with the visiting guests on cooperation-related issues.
First, on behalf of CUFE Business School, Dean Lin Song comprehensively introduced the school’s development history, characteristics of professional construction, core research achievements and current status of international cooperation, focusing on sharing the school’s practical experience in the innovation of business talent training models and breakthroughs in academic research. Professor Xinming He detailed the development history, layout of advantageous disciplines and international development strategy of Durham University Business School, fully demonstrating the university’s profound heritage and forward-looking vision in the field of global business education.
Subsequently, the two parties held in-depth exchanges on issues such as expanding future cooperation areas. They will focus on advancing student exchange programs such as semester exchange and joint training, explore faculty cooperation models such as guest lectures and joint teaching, and reached a consensus on jointly applying for international scientific research funds and jointly publishing academic achievements. At the same time, the two parties exchanged views on potential cooperation directions such as enterprise cooperation and joint construction of teaching cases, laying a foundation for further expanding the cooperation space.
This exchange meeting has laid a solid foundation for establishing a long-term and stable cooperative relationship between CUFE Business School and Durham University Business School.
