January 12, 2026, CUFE Business School successfully hosted the 4th session of 2026 Excellent Academic Forum in Conference Room 615 of the Main Teaching Building at the Xueyuan South Road Campus. The lecture invited Associate Professor Jiao Zihao from the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) as the keynote speaker. More than ten participants, including faculty members, doctoral students, and master’s students from the Business School, as well as scholars from other universities, attended the academic event.

The lecture was hosted by Professor Dai Hongyan from CUFE Business School. At the beginning of the event, Professor Dai introduced Associate Professor Jiao Zihao’s academic background to the audience. Associate Professor Jiao received his Ph.D. in Management from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2020 and previously participated in a joint training program at Purdue University in the United States. He has received the INFORMS Student Paper Award and has published research articles as first author or corresponding author in international journals such as OMEGA. He has served as principal leader of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientists Fund and special cooperative projects, and has also participated in several national key and general research projects. His research focuses on scientific research digitalization, AI-assisted decision-making, and intelligent system design.

The topic of Associate Professor Jiao’s lecture was “Digitalization and Intelligence in Scientific Research: System Architecture and Application Scenarios of AI-IDE.” He systematically introduced how AI-IDE integrates cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies, such as large language models, into the entire lifecycle of scientific research, thereby building an integrated intelligent research and development platform covering literature review, data processing, code experimentation, academic writing, and team collaboration. The lecture first presented the overall four-layer architecture of AI-IDE: the interaction layer, knowledge layer, execution layer, and governance layer, with particular emphasis on the importance of evidence chain construction and research reproducibility. Subsequently, focusing on common challenges in academic research, Professor Jiao demonstrated the powerful capabilities of AI-IDE in several typical scenarios, including: intelligent research topic selection and automated literature review generation; efficient replication and verification of existing methods; automated management of complex data cleaning and experimental workflows; drafting of academic manuscripts and citation standard checking; and knowledge accumulation and collaborative writing for cross-team research projects. At the end of the lecture, he also candidly discussed the risks and boundaries that must be addressed in the implementation of AI-IDE, including alleviating model hallucinations, ensuring data privacy and compliance, establishing mechanisms for result verification, and maintaining academic norms and research ethics while significantly improving research efficiency.

Following the lecture, participating faculty members and students engaged in an active and practical discussion with Associate Professor Jiao on several frontier topics, including practical implementation experiences of AI-IDE, the applicability boundaries of large language models in empirical management research, the design of anti-hallucination and verification mechanisms, and how early-career scholars can safely leverage AI tools to improve research efficiency. The academic atmosphere at the venue was both vibrant and intellectually engaging.

As an important platform for CUFE Business School to fulfill its mission of contributing new management knowledge, the Excellent Academic Forum is committed to focusing on cutting-edge issues in the field of business administration and Chinese enterprise management practice. It gathers global wisdom and innovative perspectives to provide theoretical support and practical paths for promoting the sustainable development of Chinese society and economy.
