CUFE Business School Holds an EducationActivity on Teachers’ Ethics and Morality

On May 8, 2019, toimplement the requirements and arrangements set in documents released by theMinistry of Education, Beijing Municipal Government, and Central University ofFinance and Economics (CUFE) on development of teachers’ ethics and morality,the CUFE Business School held a themed education activity in the MBA lecturetheater. Party Secretary Ge Jianxin of the CUFE Business School presided over theevent.

Party Secretary GeJianxin first unveiled theNotice on Carrying Out “Five Ones” Work toEnhance Ideological and Political Education for Teachers and Teachers’ Ethicsand Morality in CUFE in 2019, emphasizing the role of teachers as mentors inthe growth of students and the importance of good teachers’ ethics and moralityin teaching practices. She also introduced the plans of the CPC Committee ofthe CUFE Business School in this regard, calling on all faculty’s Partybranches to ensure the cultivation of moral integrity based on disciplinesconstruction and talent training.

                     

After that, Party SecretaryGe offered an intensive interpretation of four documents, including theOpinionsof CUFE on Establishing a Robust Long-term Mechanism for Teachers’ Ethics(Trial)(No. 46 [2018] of the CUFE CPC Committee), theProfessional Codeof Teachers’ Ethics of CUFE(No. 47 [2018] of the CUFE CPC Committee), theImplementationRules of the Veto System for Teachers’ Ethics of CUFE(No. 48 [2018] of theCUFE CPC Committee), and theNotice on Carrying Out “Five Ones” Work toEnhance Ideological and Political Education for Teachers and Teachers’ Ethicsand Morality in CUFE in 2019(No.4 [2019] of the Educational Workers’ Unionof CUFE).

Dean Wang Ruihua of theCUFE Business School concluded the event. While appreciating the painstakingdevotion and increasingly sharpened expertise of the faculty, he also remindedall fellow colleagues to strictly follow the code of teachers’ ethics andmorality, refrain from relaxing demands placed on themselves, and stay prudentand vigilant. Meanwhile, Dean Wang also reviewed his years of teachingexperience to illustrate the lifelong impact of teachers’ wisdom, personalityand devotion to their profession on students, as well as how such elementsenhance alumni’s identification with their alma mater.

                      

The education activityhelped consolidate the education of ideologies, political ideas, ideals andbeliefs for faculty of the CUFE Business School. Following it, the faculty’sParty branches organized their own activities to discuss and learn relevantmatters.
