In order to promote the“double first-class” initiative and the development of the school, CUFEBusiness School holds a meeting for young faculty members on 9 October 2019.The purpose of the meeting was to care about the development of youngprofessors,to understand their views and suggestions on future development of the school,and to cultivate the consciousness and autonomy of young professors in theirteaching and research. The meeting was hosted by Professor Lin Song, Dean ofCUFE Business School. The CUFEBusiness School board members were attended.

The youngprofessors have carried on anin-depth discussion and communication about the development of the school andthe promotion of the teaching and research, and put forward specific andconstructive suggestions onenhancingteaching and research, speeding up the developmentof faculty and improving the overall level and reputation of the school.

Dean Lin agreed with theviews and suggestions of young professors, and said that the school willconscientiously listen to the opinions of youngprofessors,take effective measures to improve conditions for young professors, provide aplatform to help young professors’ growth, help young professors carry out academicresearch, promote the development of school and the “double first-class”initiative.

Professor Ge Jianxin, Secretaryof the CUFE Business School Party Committee, pointed out that the young professorsare essential to the development of the school. She hoped that all facultymembers will enhance their professional learning and improve level of academicresearch besides teaching, show sense of social responsibility and become missionorientated moral model. At the same time, the school has always advocated theculture of happy professionals, and is also willing to help with trouble anddifficulties in their job and life.

The meeting has promotedthe new faculty members’ understanding of the school’s development strategy andthe identity of the school culture.
