CUFE Business School co-hostedthe 2021 Annual Meeting and Marketing Development Forum of China Colleges and Universities

22-24 October 2021, the 2021 Annual Meeting and Marketing Development Forum of China Colleges and Universities was held successfully.The forum was hosted by the Marketing Research Association of China and co-hosted by CUFE Business School. Journals such as Nankai Management Review, Marketing Science Journal, Luojia Management Review, Management Case Research and Review, China University Teaching, and Higher Education Research on Finance and Economics, supported the forum. The theme of the forum was “Talent training in big data marketing era: integration, innovation and development”. 111 standing directors of 66 domestic universities, members and professors attended. 4375 subscribers attended online. Theparticipators discussed issues of talent training in big data marketing era, shared teaching experience, and promoted professional development.

At the opening ceremonyon the morning of 23 October,Professor Fu Guoqun from Peking University, President of China Marketing Research Institute, made the opening speech. Professor Fu highly recognized the impact of CUFE in academic research and talent education in marketing fields in recent years. Professor Shi Jianping, VP of CUFE, and Professor Lin Song, Dean of CUFE Business School, addressed the forum on behalf of CUFE as well as its Business School. VPs of the Association, Professor Jing Fengjie,Professor Sun Guohui, Professor Lian Yi and Professor Li Xianguo, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Ge Jianxin, Party Secretary of CUFE Business School.

In thekeynote speech session, Professor Li Weian from Nankai Universitydelivered an keynote speech titled “The development of business management and talent training”; Professor Teng Lefa from Jiangnan University, delivered an keynote speech titled “Resource embedding and integrated design: marketing talent training mode exploration and practice”; Professor Sun Guohui from CUFE delivered an keynote speech titled “Rethinking the business talent training and discipline development”; Dr. Du Xiaomeng, Chief Data Expert of the Percentage Group, delivered an keynote speech titled “Building a digital user marketing system based on big data and micro data integration”. The keynote speech session was hosted by Professor Jing Fengjie from East China University of Science and Technology and Professor Tao Hu from Shandong University of Finance and Economics, respectively.

In the afternoon, the 3parallel sessions “marketing discipline development forum and director’s meeting”, “excellent teaching, journal editors face to face, excellent teaching papers”, “teaching technology and curriculum innovation” were held and hosted by Professor Jin Liyin from Fudan University, Professor WeiFuxiang from Tianjin Normal University, and Professor Luo Sheng from Guangxi College of Finance and Economics, respectively. Experts in marketing fields from Renmin University of China, Sun Yat-sen University, Fudan University, Tianjin university, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Zhongnan University of Finance and Law, East China University of Technology, Northwest University, and Chongqing University, and entrepreneurs from the Percentage Group and Credamo delivered speeches, discussed the future marketing professional and discipline development, and talent training mode in big data era.

In the keynote speech session on the morning of 24 October, Professor Sun Guohui served as the host. Professor Su Qin from Dalian university of technology delivered a keynote speech titled “Case action learning method: process, structure and application”; Professor Wang Xuhui from Northeast university of finance and economics delivered a keynote speech titled “Integration, transformation, renewing: rethinking the development of marketing under the background of new business discipline development”; Professor Dou Wenyu from SKEMA business school China (Suzhou) delivered a keynote speech titled “the online teaching-learning in the after global Covid-19 era: the inspirations of the determining elements and skills to success from the perspective of pedagogy research”, respectively.

    

The closing ceremony was hosted by Professor Li Xianguo,VPof the Association, and Professor Fei Hongping, Deputy Secretary General of the Association. The forum awarded the Teaching Achievement Awards, the Teaching Thesis Awards, andhanded over the flag of the Annual Meeting. Professor Jing Fengjie delivered the closing speech. The 2021 Annual Meeting and Marketing Development Forum of Chinese Colleges and Universities were successfully concluded.

On 22 October, before the opening, the teacher training course session was successfully held and hosted by Professor Lian Yi and Professor Li Xianguo. Professor Li Ji from CUFE, Professor Huang Jinsong from Beihang University, Professor Guo Wenge from Peking University, and Professor Yang Hongtao from Huaqiao University deliveredkeynote lectures. The titles were, “Big Data Marketing Talent Training”, “Digital Marketing Teaching Practice”, “Online Curriculum Design Toolbox Model”, and “Marketing: the national ideological and political normal course”. The speakers shared experience and communicated with their teaching contents and methods in their teaching practice.

The marketing discipline of CUFE Business School was built in the 1980s. Under the leadership of Sir Wang Jinying, founder of the discipline, the professional team has been growing and developing. After years of exploration and practice, it has achieved excellent results in talent training. The marketing major was one of the third batch of the national first-class undergraduate majors approved by the Ministry of Education. More than 10 professors have published national planning textbooks, and many courses have been rated as Beijing impact courses and national impact courses. Many professors have received the special government allowance of the State Council, been selected into the New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan of the Ministry of Education, and won the honorary titles of Famous Teachers in Beijing. The Marketing Department has won the honorary title of “Excellent Teaching Team” in Beijing. It ranks among the top marketing majors of Chinese universities in the Ministry of Education Discipline Evaluation of Education, and China Science Evaluation Research Center and China Alumni Association. In recent years, in order to adapt to the new requirements of social and economic development for modern marketing management talents, the University launched the big data marketing and MBA big data marketing concentration, with a remarkable talent training effects and a strong response from the society. At the same time, some professors of the professional team have been active in the activities of the National College Market Research Association established in 1984.Professor Wang Jinying, Professor Qi Lan, Professor Zhang Yunzhi and Professor Xiao Hailin have served as standing directors of the research Association. At present, Professor Sun Guohui serves as VP of the Research Association. Professor Wang Yi is the Deputy Secretary General, Executive Director and Deputy Director of the Mobile Marketing Committee. Professor Li Ji is the Executive Director and Director of the Big Data Marketing Committee. Professors in marketing department have been appointed as directors of the Research Association.

The forum has received the guidance of the leader board of the Research Society, the attention and support of the leaders of CUFE as well as CUFE Business School, the organization of Professor Wang Yi, Head of the marketing department, the comprehensive and careful planning of the organizing committee, and the service guarantee of the forum affairs team. The annual meeting and forum was a complete success and won high praise from the guests. The guests discussed issues regarding marketing professional development and talent training, launched a warm experience sharing which providing marketing scholars with a feast of talent training and playing an important role of marketing talent training in the new era.
