In this hopeful March of 2026, the 2026 Entrepreneurship Management Experimental Class of Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) once again welcomed its highlight moment.
On the afternoon of March 14, "Digital-Intelligence Empowerment · Starting Innovation in Finance" — the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Entrepreneurship Management Experimental Class and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Seminar were grandly held in Room 105 of the Main Teaching Building.
Internal mentors, including Lin Song, Dean of CUFE Business School and Professor Ge Jianxin, along with several heavy-weight external mentors from the front lines of investment and industry, gathered to witness this exciting moment with all students of the 2026 Entrepreneurship Class.
This was not merely a simple opening ceremony, but a feast of ideas and a practical exercise. Here, we witnessed the heritage of "seniors guiding juniors" and the deep companionship from collective discussions to one-on-one coaching.
1. Capturing the Moment: Group Photo in Front of the Main Teaching Building
At the start of the meeting, the atmosphere warmed up instantly following the introduction of the guests. Subsequently, all participants moved to the front of the Main Teaching Building to take a "family photo" of the 2026 Entrepreneurship Class. This group photo not only captured the smiles of the mentors and students but also symbolized the official establishment of the new Entrepreneurship Class family. From this moment on, these young people harboring dreams officially embarked on their journey of innovation and entrepreneurship under the protection of their mentors.

2. Mentor Dream Team: A Gathering of Practitioners
The meeting featured a powerful lineup of internal and external mentors joining forces to guide the students. The External Mentor Team brought together industry experts such as Chen Ronggen (with service projects exceeding 8 billion RMB), Wang Xiaoqing (a serial entrepreneur in Agricultural AI), Xu Qian (a Healthcare VC), Zuo Haiying (a Data Element expert), Chen Yujie (an investor in the education sector), Sun Fengchuan (a Cross-border E-commerce expert), and Cui Xiaogang (a Hard-tech investor). The Internal Mentor Team was led by Lin Song, Dean of CUFE Business School, Professor Ge Jianxin, and Professor Song Chen, providing a deep integration of theory and practice.

3. Passing the Torch: Done is Better Than Perfect
During the activity, outstanding students from previous cohorts, Chen Sijin (Class of 2022) and Xue Fei (Class of 2024), shared their gains and growth in the Entrepreneurship Class. Particularly impressive was Chen Sijin’s heartfelt recollection of the golden quote taught by Professor Ge Jianxin — "Done is better than perfect." This sentence is not only the soul of the Entrepreneurship Class but also the truth discovered by countless entrepreneurs through trial and error: taking action first and iterating through the process is far better than perfect daydreaming.
4. Hardcore Roadshow: Crossing from Campus to Market
The highlight of the meeting was the project roadshow by members of the 2026 Entrepreneurship Class. Five students took to the stage with their business concepts and faced the "soul-searching questions" of the mentors:
Wu Yangzhou presented cross-disciplinary thinking ranging from a skiing club to AI undersea detection; mentors suggested "running a small model first before seeking grander development." Zhang Xuan proposed a basketball camp project titled "Reclaiming Children from Smartphones with Basketball"; mentors pointed out the need to "focus on the customer base and inject emotional value." Zheng Chaowen focused on educational equity in third- and fourth-tier cities; mentors suggested elevating the project to the height of "empowering old revolutionary base areas and career planning." Wu Chang and Shen Lingxuan respectively demonstrated projects on AI video editing and services for small and medium-sized enterprises; mentors collectively emphasized "finding rigid demand scenarios and seeking survival in the cracks between tech giants."

5. Full Empowerment: Deep One-on-One Companionship
If the roadshow was the spotlight on stage, the subsequent one-on-one coaching session for all members was the silent nourishment. During the all-member communication, nearly ten members of the Entrepreneurship Class shared their entrepreneurial ideas and industry insights. The mentors showed great patience and professionalism, "diagnosing" each project. Whether it was a minor flaw in the business model or a blurred market positioning, everything became clear under the mentors' guidance. This "hand-holding" private-tutor-style coaching ensured that every member of the Entrepreneurship Class left the venue with a clear direction and solutions.
Conclusion
From the gathering for a group photo to the collision of ideas during the roadshow, and finally to a detailed action guide, the students of the 2026 Entrepreneurship Class are ready to set off. The road of entrepreneurship is long and arduous. However, as Mr. Wang Xiaoqing stated: "Entrepreneurship requires striving for strength and achieving big goals through small steps." As Dean Lin Song expected, we must bravely "start innovation in finance" in the era's wave of "digital-intelligence empowerment."
May every student of the Entrepreneurship Class find the joy of "completion" in this semester!
