November 21, 2025, the alumni homecoming brand event of CUFE Business School, the “Longma Business Lecture Series,” was held as scheduled. The career planning exchange event titled “From the AI Wave to Industrial Integration: Where Are the Breakthrough Points for Career Development?” was hosted by the CUFE Business School Alumni Association Branch and organized by the Finance Club of CUFE Business School. Yang Zhongying, Deputy Director of Business School Committee and Director of the Committee on Caring for the Next Generation, Sun Xiang, Director of the Office, as well as more than 30 alumni from different cohorts, majors, and professions of CUFE Business School, together with undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students currently enrolled at the School, participated in the event.

During the keynote speech session, the invited speaker Wang Jianxun, General Manager of Beijing Zebra Vision Technology Co., Ltd., shared practical industry cases and experiences regarding development trends in the Internet and AI-related industries as well as career advancement pathways with the attending alumni and students. Wang previously served as Technical Director at 263 Network Group, Technical Director at Sohu, and Senior Vice President at 360 Group, and has more than 20 years of professional experience in the Internet and AI industries.

Wang Jianxun Delivers Speech

As a first-generation Internet practitioner, Wang first reviewed the development trajectory of the Internet from the perspective of an industry veteran. In response to industry challenges such as the exhaustion of traffic dividends, rising customer acquisition costs, increasingly stringent domestic regulation, and the international political environment characterized by de-globalization, he proposed new strategic paradigms for Internet enterprises to address current conditions and challenges. These paradigms were discussed from three perspectives: social fission, flexible supply chains, and a shift in financial and economic perspectives. He further pointed out that Internet investment logic has shifted from a pure focus on traffic to data assets and technological barriers, noting that the industrial Internet (B-end) is becoming a new growth driver, while artificial intelligence and computing power will continue to promote industry transformation. Finally, Wang advised students to optimize their work through Internet-oriented thinking and to utilize artificial intelligence as a powerful assistant.

During the career planning exchange session, alumni including Zhang Geng (Class of 1997), President of CUFE Business School Alumni Association Branch and General Manager of Guozhen Hongrui Investment Fund Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd.; Chen Jiebin (Class of 1997), General Manager of the Human Resources Department at China Property Reinsurance Company; Chen Haoqiang (Class of 2009), Secretary-General of CUFE Business School Alumni Association Branch and President of Beijing Oriental Huading Culture Communication Co., Ltd.; Zhao Yue (MBA Class of 2017), Director of the Innovation Development Department at Beijing Financial Development Service Company; and Chen Yanan (Academic Master’s Class of 2018), Industry Manager at the Internet Department of China Telecom Beijing Company, introduced their professional backgrounds and encouraged students present to actively raise questions and engage in discussion.

Students enthusiastically raised questions regarding their career planning concerns. Wang Jianxun focused on analyzing positions suitable for business students, such as those in strategic research departments and business analysis departments. The alumni patiently addressed students’ questions on topics including the competencies required for product managers, career prospects in human resources departments, the difficulty of switching career tracks between major Internet companies and state-owned enterprises, cross-border logistics, and the potential applications of artificial intelligence in the sports industry. They also encouraged students to combine their interests with their academic backgrounds and proactively seek relevant internship and research opportunities.

This exchange event enabled participating students to gain insights into the current conditions and future prospects of various industries through dialogue and interaction, and helped them recognize that enhancing their core competitiveness is the key to adapting to the changing demands of the times. In the future, the CUFE Business School Alumni Association Branch and the Finance Club of CUFE Business School will continue to collaborate by organizing activities such as corporate visits, thematic forums, and industry salons to support the growth of alumni and students and contribute to the development of the School.
