Abstract:
This seminar focuses on the bunching estimation method. It first introduces the basic concepts, theoretical foundations, and value of bunching estimation in economics research. It then uses "the shadow cost of collateral" as a case to demonstrate in depth how bunching estimation can be applied in empirical research. Professor Pan will share the comments received from reviewers and editors during the research process and show how the research team responded to and improved the paper, helping participants better understand research writing and journal submission. Finally, the seminar will introduce the latest developments in the field, including fuzzy bunching and two-dimensional bunching, offering reference points for future research.
