December 21, 2025, CUFE Business School Alumni Association, in collaboration with Finance Club of CUFE Business School, successfully hosted a themed salon titled “Green Finance: Practice, Impact, and Prospects.” Alumni and experts from banks, enterprises, and professional institutions of various sectors attended the event to explore the future development of green finance. Nearly 40 participants, including alumni of CUFE Business School from different graduating classes, majors, and professional backgrounds, as well as current students, took part in the salon.

The salon focused on China’s green finance and climate investment and financing, covering policy frameworks, practical implementation, impacts, and future prospects. The event consisted of three main sessions.
In the session “Policies and Practices of Green Finance in China,” alumni working in banking institutions discussed the essence, driving forces, and practical pathways of green finance. The discussion highlighted the core objectives and key areas covered by green finance, the institutional logic underpinning the development of China’s green finance system, and the guiding and regulatory role of current policies throughout the entire business processes of financial institutions.
In the session “Progress and Future Prospects of Climate Investment and Financing,” experts from professional institutions examined three key aspects: scientific understanding of climate change, the global development landscape of climate finance, and domestic practices in climate investment and financing. They emphasized the financial risks posed by climate change, the global gap between supply and demand for climate funding, and China’s dual-track pathway of mitigation and adaptation in advancing climate investment and financing.
In the session “The Impact of Green Finance on Commercial Banks and Corporate Financing,” banking experts discussed the strategic adjustment of green finance in commercial banks, the reconstruction of credit processes, and evolving trends in corporate financing. The session highlighted full-process management mechanisms for green finance in commercial banks, innovative arrangements of green financial products, and differentiated characteristics of corporate financing in terms of accessibility, cost, and financial instruments.
During the interactive discussion session, participants engaged with the speakers on issues such as corporate participation in the carbon markets and practical approaches to green financing, further clarifying industry opportunities and implementation pathways. The salon not only deepened alumni’s understanding of green finance but also consolidated the linkage of connections among industry resources. CUFE Business School Alumni Association will continue to focus on emerging fields and organize more high-quality themed events to support alumni development and industry progress.
